Fish Bowl Mentality
Many times we create what I call the fish bowl mentality,
we partially and some even totally isolate themselves from humanity and the
rest of the world, in the belief that is the most effective way for us to get
full satisfaction out of their journey through this physical plane. It is
surely okay and practical for us to choose to follow our inner guidance, doing
so will place us on a path that will cause us to stand alone from time to time,
and that will mean that we cannot follow the direction the crowd is going in
many times. Nonetheless, that does not mean that we are to completely separate
ourselves from humanity and the whole of creation. Lets look at it from this
point of view. Each of us has an individual calling on our lives, which means
that all of us cannot do the exact same thing in the exact same way, because if
everyone did the same thing only one thing would get done at a time. If that
were the way things were, it would take a lifetime or more to create and do one
single thing. Because of that we must embrace our individuality, yet understand
that does not negate the reality of our oneness and need to function as one
finely tuned entity.
As I point out on a pretty regular basis we are just like
our bodies, many members working together as one unit in perfect harmony.
Another very good example of differences working together in complete unity and
harmony is the universe. Our individual physical bodies are like the universe,
humanity is designed to be individual members that come together in the perfect
state of oneness with each other as well as with the whole of creation. One of
the major problems of mankind, is many of us do not understand this very
realistic simple concept, of how we are and how we are to relate to each other
and the whole of creation. Do you know the old song by Joan Baez that sings
about man not being an island? “No man is an island, no man stands alone, each
man’s joy is joy to me, each man’s grief is my own”
It is sad that so many people live their lives like the
picture of the fish in the fish bowl, sitting in the water close to the
shoreline. The fish can see the reality of the freedom that should be; that
freedom is all around the fish, yet the fish cannot take part in that freedom
that it so yearns for. We have placed ourselves in a similar situation, yet we
have the power to free ourselves because our fish bowls are created by us. All
we have to do is create the reality that will foster our true identity and
allow us to fully be the Spiritual Beings we are created to be, and experience
oneness, as we should. Hasn’t thousands of years of mankind being in a fish
bowl hoping and waiting on change to come in the by and by not taught us
anything; hasn’t that gone on long enough?
We have entered a time were the truth is being revealed
for all to see in a much easier way. Yet that does not mean that all things
will change for the better for all of humanity. Change will only take place in
the lives of those who see the change that needs to take place, and do their
part in embrace that change by way of their individual actions. We can remove
the veils from our eyes so that we can see how to do the things necessary to
change our lives. In doing so we will not only change our lives, we will start
the process of the world being transformed back to its original state, and once
again be the paradise for all to enjoy. Have you heard that the Kingdom of
Heaven Is Within? Well it surely is. Once we tap fully into the Kingdom of
Heaven within our Spirits, we can spread the energy found there into our
surrounding worlds, and as our surrounding world come in contact with the
surrounding worlds of others, the world at-large will start to align itself
with that energy. We are the creators of our reality. The question that must be
asked is this; what reality are we creating?
A fish bowl lifestyle is a self-imposed prison sentence.
Who in their right mind would place themselves in prison, when they have the
whole wide world to travel and live wherever they want to? That is what mankind
has done when it completely and even partially neglects its true nature, that
of being an Eternal Spiritual Being. I am learning how to live the proper
balance of being an Eternal Spiritual Being, going through a temporary physical
life experience. It is not supposed to be about working in the way that we do,
and being overly concerned about how much worthless stuff we can amass in the
process. We have gotten so caught up in the rat race of how much stuff we can
accumulate, equating that with our worth and identity, that just about all of
our time is spent working, sleeping, worrying, and showing off that which we
have traded our precious time for, which is actually our life in exchange for
material gain. That is a flimflam (nonsensical action played on ourselves) if I
ever so one.
Where has the time and importance for our Sacred Time and
Spiritual Communion gone? We see that which is physical in nature as our
ultimate sustenance, yet that which is spiritually based is actually our
necessary eternal sustenance. Life was surely not designed for humanity to live
in such a wasteful worthless and spiritually unconscious way. One of mankind’s major
mistakes were taking its focus off of the Divine Spiritual Guidance that comes
to us all from within; another major mistake was taking ownership of everything
and charging others for what is given freely to the whole of creation. That is
when money and the material things of this physical plane became the ultimate
direction, desire, and also became god to many. At present I am turning that
completely around in my thinking, life, and all of my affairs.
We can and must free ourselves from the dismal fish bowl
mentality. To do so we must fully comprehend the reality that we are Sacred Spiritual
Beings who are one with the whole of creation, which makes us a part of the Eternal
Sacred Spiritual Realm and Divine Oneness. Within that Divine Oneness there is
to be found a unique collective oneness that will never rob us of an iota of
our individual identity. Actually, doing such would enhance our individual character
and connect us in a greater way to the Universal Abundance that is available to
us all, and within us all. Do you think that the fish in the bowl set in the
water by the shore would dread the breaking of that fish bowl? No of course it
wouldn’t, that would be more than a welcomed occurrence. So why do we dread
turning loose of all of our man made worthless material possessions for a life
of True Oneness with Infinite Source, and the Whole of Creation? Releasing the material does
not mean that we will be without that which we need to survive. It simply means
that we won’t be overly concerned with the material, and we will no longer
serve it, the material will serve us as it is supposed to. All I am talking
about here is all of us having the proper relationship we are supposed to have
with this physical realm, and most importantly with our Beloved Lover Infinite
Source.
