The
Seeds of Success
Everything
I desire Is Within Me

Sanskrit Mantra and its English essence are:
Ram
. . . Ram . . . Ram — Everything I desire is within me
“As
human beings, our greatness lays not so much in being able to remake the world
. . . as in being able to remake ourselves.”
Mahatma
Gandhi
We
are born with everything we need for a life of fulfillment and success, but
often we measure our love, vitality and other positive qualities by comparing
ourselves to someone or something else. Perhaps thinking something like, I have
a loving relationship, but not as nice as my friends, or I live in a nice house
but not as big as my brothers. Such comparisons stem from object comparisons,
looking outside of ones self for validation; but an abundant life is not about
external comparisons, instead a life of fulfillment comes from within; through
the knowledge that you were created with everything that you need, and you can
access those seeds of abundance at any time. Currently all over the world many
people are experiencing difficult times, when we experience such setbacks, we
sometimes feel like we will never experience success. Yet in every perceived
failure or setback is the seed of success. In every situation we have new
opportunities to find creative solutions for our problems, redefine our
priorities and explore other options. We begin to view our challenges more
positively once we realize that we possess the power to focus our attention on
new possibilities; and possibilities for abundance are endless, there are no
limits to what we can have. Take the time to look at each situation that
challenges you, and find those seeds of success that will attract greater
abundance into your life.
Consider
what success is and where it is found. It’s common to sometimes measure our success
or fulfillment by comparing ourselves to others. This is called
object-referral, looking outside for validation. It’s also common to overlook
the opportunities for success that exist in our setbacks or failures. Through
meditation, we learn that everything we want, need, and desire is already
within us and that the seeds of success are within every perceived setback.
Self-referral, looking within, is where true fulfillment resides.
In
the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Success: To laugh often and much, to win the
respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to appreciate
beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by
a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition, to know even
one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have
succeeded.”
Mindful
moment, discover the seeds. Take a moment today to consider a situation that
feels like a failure or a setback. From that perspective, try to identify
opportunities that could put you on the path to success. Write down the steps
you can take to make your vision a reality. You can apply this exercise to all
areas of your life. Take the time to look at each situation that challenges you
and find those seeds of success that will attract greater abundance into your
life.
