In the Christian religion salt is highly spoken of. In Matthew 15:13 it says; “You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savor, how shall it be salty? It is thereafter good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men”. In essence that is saying that we are the flavor of the earth. Human beings are created to be one of the many seasonings/flavors of the earth that helps to make the overall creation of this earth plane the Paradise that it is. It goes on to say if we have lost our savor, if we have lost our distinct taste, we are not good for anything because every part of creation is assigned a unique flavor and function. For us humans to loose our savor is impossible. We may act as if we have lost it, nevertheless that is impossible. It is impossible because we can neither take from nor add to what Infinite Source has created, we have never had and never will have such power.
In one of my favorite songs entitled SALT by the vocalist Lizz Wright, she sings, “How can you lose your song? When you have sung it for so long? How can you forget your dance? When that dance is all you ever had?” How can we lose our song after we have sung it for so long is asking; how can we lose our salt, which is our flavor when we have lived it our entire life? How can we lose our dance when that is all we have is asking; how can we possibly lose our personal characteristic because it speaks of who we are, and it is all we ever truly possessed? Each human being is a single grain of salt that flavors the existence here on this part of the physical plane called earth. Then she goes on to say; one thing that life cannot do, life cannot take your song from you. No matter what we believe, no matter what we do, and no matter what others say about us, our experiences in life cannot take our song, our personalized melody from us. To take the savor from salt you must completely destroy it, and no one or nothing can take away our salt/savor because we cannot be destroyed, because we are eternal spiritual beings.
Lizz goes on to sing more of the absolute truth by singing; oh my, it’s all a part of you, one thing that life cannot do, it can’t take your song from you. We must stop listening to that which is outside of us, and hold true to the reality that we are Divine Creations, and nothing can change that, even if we choose to act contrary to that reality. All we do when we act in such a contrary way is this; we merely postpone the inevitable. We will eventually fully manifest the divinity that makes up who and what we are. The only question that lingers is this; what lifetime will we allow the inevitable to fully manifest from within our spirit to our surrounding world.
Then Lizz goes on to encourage us in such a nice way. So when life brings a chance, a chance for you to give your part, don’t just stand there feeling scared, don’t be afraid, because there could be a treasure right there. I take that as saying this; when we are given a chance to share our savor with others and the entire world the unique flavor that only we have, we must not be frozen in fear that we will use up our gift and be without, because there is a treasure in sharing our savor freely and openly. Therefore in doing so we actually set in motion the law of reciprocity, which is to receive a greater flow of like energy in return for sharing that which we possess. When we give of our abundance freely, no matter how large or small, we will always receive a return of abundance. That is the Universal Law of Reciprocity.
Lizz Wright concludes her song with this. Now listen to the truth, it doesn't matter what you do, still gonna be you just like the salt in the stew. It's all a part of you, and one thing that life cannot do, life can't take it, it can't take your song from you. We must listen to the truth that resides deep within our spirit, because that is the only truth there is. No matter what we do, the absolute truth that is in us will eventually come out. Just as it is when we make a stew, all of the ingredients we put in the stew come together and the many individual members become one as the savor from each unique individual ingredient blends together and becomes a new creation. Once that has happened the salt cannot be taken out, it has become a part of the new whole, a part of the stew. No matter what we experience in life, what Infinite Source has given to us is eternally ours; and when we share it with others we only cause it to multiply within us. So ultimately no matter what, life can never take our song from us.

Salt

How can you lose your song?
When you have sung it for so long?
And how can you forget your dance, your dance
When that dance is all you've ever had?

It must be, it must be true
You can't separate the two oh no, you can't
It's impossible to do just like the salt in the stew
Oh my, it's all apart of you
One thing that life cannot do life can't do it no
It can't take your song from you

So when life brings a chance, a chance
For you to give your part, to give your part away
Don't just stand there feeling scared
Don't be afraid 'cause there could be a treasure right there

Now listen, listen to the truth
It does not matter, doesn't matter what to do
Still gonna be you just like the salt in the stew
Yeah, it's all apart of you
And one thing, the one thing that life cannot do
Hey, hey, hey, can't do it no
It can't take your song from you

Life can't take it, you don't give it
Life can't take it oh yeah
It can't take your song from you
